Romeo B. Garrett stands at his home at 431 W Romeo B Garrett Ave Peoria, IL 61605. With an ever-populating community, Peoria wanted to expand and make more residential areas. This included attempts at purchasing Dr. Garrett's house. However, Garrett was adamant in not selling this home. In the picture you can see him standing on his porch, where the original house still stands.
Fun Fact: Local artist Kevin Bradford had often visited the Garrett house as a kid without realizing the significance. *As stated in his interview*
